Welcome. I'm so glad you're Here.

Currently, I am on Paternal Leave and will be unreachable until August of 2024. I plan to accept a wait list when I return.

A Safe place to heal

My practice focuses on creating a safe space to explore recovery and healing from Anxiety,  Depression, Trauma and  Eating Disorders. My hope is that developing a trusting therapeutic relationship will lead my clients to feel empowered, safe and secure and be able to learn to soothe and regulate their own emotions by becoming more mindfully aware in their day to day lives. Hopefully, this will result in better relationships with others, self and a greater sense of happiness.

We inherit stories about ourselves all the time. From our family of origin to what our culture expects from us and it is imperative that we learn to tell our own stories. Let's develop a new language to enhance your understanding of your identity, needs and how to navigate your life in ways that serve you.

I use an Attachment lens to understand how clients came to use behaviors that no longer serve them, but were likely adaptive at some point. I also use strategies such as Trauma-focused CBT, Mindful Self-Compassion, Meditation and Shame Resilience tools to guide you towards new behaviors for a new sense of calm regulation and to increase your mindful awareness. These tools can lead to less maladaptive symptoms.

Client's can expect their first session to include telling me a little bit about their life and what made them curious about therapy. If client's aren't sure about the process or if this is a good fit, we can plan for a free 15 min. phone consultation.

My Story

I've been lucky enough to have been doing this work for well over a decade. My journey toward this profession began in Seattle, WA, where I got to work within such a diverse and unique landscape. After becoming a parent for the first time, my family and I decided it was time for a change and made the move to Ann Arbor, MI. I have been fortunate to have worked with many amazing people and been apart of their journey of becoming themselves. Having experienced a lot difficulty and hardship, I'm driven to help others feel less alone and more empowered in their lives, their identity and their relationships.
